In the search for something new and unique, we came across the calming process of creating our own terrarium. These small bowls of biomes are so cute and, at the same time, fascinating enough that we wanted to try making one with our own hands and with our own people.

Similar to all the other times, we booked a cozy place and an amazing guide to take us through the journey of understanding and learning the terrarium-making process. We started off with an interesting ice-breaking game of introducing ourselves with an adjective before our names. Sagar, our host, told us his — Spontaneous Sagar — and then the creativity began. Pretty, Curious, Gorgeous, Chef, Traveler, etc., were a few that were accompanied by laughs and awws!

We learned about all the layers patiently and in detail — the drainage layer using clay popcorn, the ingredients in the soil, the names, and the in-depth understanding of the plants. The anecdotes used were not just smart but funny at the same time, helping even the less experienced understand things in detail. The best part: doing everything yourself! Being able to pick your own plants and create your own designs with rocks and different kinds of sand added an extra layer of creativity and intrigue. Things were starting to take a beautiful shape!

By the end, 16 beautiful terrariums were ready, each one completely unique and stunning. The journey made us forget about time as we immersed ourselves in creativity and nature. It wasn’t just about building a little glass garden, but about the joy of expressing our personal styles and bonding over something simple yet meaningful. The terrariums now sit proudly, reminding us that sometimes the most fulfilling moments come from the small, hands-on experiences we share.
